Quick answer
TipTracker - track your income by Pace Apps Inc. is an iPhone app for logging hourly income, hours worked, and tips. It has been on the App Store since 2016 and was last updated in August 2026. The download is free, and five things you might expect to be included are sold as separate purchases: adding a job, creating a cloud account, removing ads, exporting data, and adding a custom category. Its age rating carries the Contains Advertising annotation, and reviewers say the ads interrupt data entry.
Server44 logs cash and card tips separately, runs the tip-out math for you, and estimates take-home pay after federal and state tax on iPhone, iPad, and Android. Pro adds unlimited jobs, 90- and 365-day insight windows, and an ad-free experience, with a 7-day free trial.
If you are on an iPhone and want a long-running log with charts, custom date ranges, and an optional cloud account, pick TipTracker - track your income. If you tip out every shift and want a tax estimate without buying features one at a time, pick Server44.

Where TipTracker - track your income wins
A rating base you can actually read. TipTracker has been on the App Store since 2016 and holds 4.77 from 9,384 US ratings. Server44 was released in 2026 and holds 4.91 from 23 ratings, which is too small a sample to tell you much. If you want an app that thousands of tipped workers have already weighed in on, that gap is real and Server44 cannot close it quickly.
A cloud account, and comparisons that come with it. TipTracker sells Create an Account for $10.99, and its version history ties period-over-period comparisons (v3.2, May 2024) and custom compare dates (v3.36, December 2024) to cloud-based accounts. Server44’s listing does not say whether it backs up or syncs anything. If you have ever changed phones mid-season, TipTracker at least names a path.
Charts over any date range you choose. “Visualize your income by year, month, or week with beautiful graphs” is one of six bullets in its description, and custom date ranges arrived in v3.10 in March 2024. Server44’s insight windows are fixed at 7, 30, 90, and 365 days, and the longer two require Pro.
Quick to log a shift. Reviewers say it is simple and fast to enter a shift into, which matters more than any feature list when you are logging tips at 1am.
Where Server44 wins
Tip-outs are part of the app, not a wish. Server44 ships tip-out templates for bartender, busser, host, kitchen, food runner, bar back, and expo, calculates them as a percentage of cash, card, or both, and added tip-out as a percent of sales in v1.0.10 in August 2026. TipTracker’s listing does not mention tip-outs at all.
A real tax estimate. Server44’s listing states “Estimated net income with federal and state tax calculations”. Non-US tax rate support arrived in v1.0.4 in February 2026, and a US and non-US tax rules toggle followed in v1.0.5 in March 2026. TipTracker’s listing states no tax, withholding, or claim estimate, and some reviewers ask for one.
Export and extra jobs are covered, not itemized. Server44 exports PDF, CSV, a full text summary, and a quick share, and Pro covers unlimited jobs. On TipTracker, three of the six features its description advertises carry their own price: “Export your data as a CSV” is the $2.99 Export Data purchase, “Track multiple jobs” is the $5.99 Add a Job purchase, and “Track custom categories” is the $3.99 Add a Custom Category purchase. Reviewers say those charges add up.
A lighter privacy label and no account. TipTracker’s privacy label carries a “Data Used to Track You” section listing Coarse Location, Device ID, Product Interaction, Advertising Data, and Performance Data. Server44’s label has one section, “Data Not Linked to You”, and no “Data Used to Track You” section at all. Server44 also states “No account required. Works offline”, so your shifts sit on the phone by default.
