The apps
1. Server44
Server44 Our Pick
Server44 is our tip tracker, published by EHM Tech LLC and on Google Play as Tip Tracker + Pay: Server44. You log cash and card tips separately after a shift, set hours and an hourly wage, and run tip-outs from role templates for bartender, busser, host, kitchen, food runner, bar back and expo. The August 2026 release added daily sales logging and tip-out set as a percent of sales.
It is the only listing on this page that states a tax estimate: estimated net income with federal and state tax calculations. It needs no account, works offline, and comes in 39 languages. Export covers PDF, CSV and a full text summary.
Pros
- The only app here whose listing states a federal and state tax estimate
- No account required, and your tip data stays on the phone
- Tip-out templates by role, plus tip-out as a percent of sales since August 2026
- 39 languages, against one for four of the six competitors
Cons
- 23 ratings is a small base next to ServerLife - Tip Tracker at 9,659
- The listing does not say how many jobs the free tier allows
- No cloud backup or cross-device sync is described in the listing
- No Apple Watch app
Pricing: Free to download. Pro is $2.99 a week or $29.99 a year, with a one-time $19.99 introductory offer, and there is a 7-day free trial.
Best for: Tipped workers who want the after-tax number, not just the tip total, and who would rather not hand their income history to an account.
2. ServerLife - Tip Tracker by MZBApps LLC
ServerLife - Tip Tracker
ServerLife - Tip Tracker, written as one word ServerLife by its developer, has been on the App Store since 2016 and carries 9,659 US ratings at 4.82, more than any other app on this page. Its description is the clearest of the seven about tiers: tracking tips, tracking hours, notes, daily through yearly totals, a custom pay week start, entry reminders and income forecasting are listed as free.
Almost everything a restaurant worker asks for next sits under Premium: separate cash and credit tips, tip out and tip in, hourly wages, sales totals and tip percent, covers, expenses, mileage, work schedule, goals and multiple jobs. Data is backed up to the cloud automatically, which means an account. Reviewers say support is fast and often answers by name, and they also say history can vanish after an unexpected logout, with 63 of 400 sampled reviews describing lost data, an unexpected logout, or both. Reviewers say the ads are heavy, with 26 of the 37 sampled reviews that mention ads complaining about them.
Pros
- The largest rating base here, 9,659 at 4.82
- The only listing that publishes an explicit free feature list
- Deep Premium set: covers, expenses, mileage, schedule, what-if scenarios
- Automatic cloud backup, so a new phone does not start empty
Cons
- Cash and credit split, tip-outs and hourly wage entry are all Premium
- An account is required, and reviewers say data loss after a logout is a recurring complaint
- English only, and no export format is named on the listing
- Its privacy label declares Identifiers (Device ID) used to track you
Pricing: ServerLife - Tip Tracker by MZBApps LLC is free with ads. Premium starts at $2.99 a month, $11.99 for six months or $19.99 a year on the current list, which also carries older Premium SKUs at higher prices. Removing ads alone is $0.99 a month or $3.99 a year. No trial length is stated.
Best for: Servers who want the widest feature set and are happy to pay for Premium and sign in.

3. TipTracker - track your income by Pace Apps Inc.
TipTracker - track your income Top Rated
TipTracker - track your income, one word in the store and two in the developer’s own copy, rates 4.77 from 9,384 US ratings. Other apps on this page score higher, so this badge reflects the size of its rating base rather than the top score. The app tracks hourly income, hours worked and tips, draws graphs by year, month or week, and added a second calendar view in August 2026.
The pricing model is the thing to understand before you download. There is no subscription named on the listing. Instead there are five separate purchases: Add a Job $5.99, Create an Account $10.99, Remove Ads $8.99, Export Data $2.99 and Add a Custom Category $3.99. Buying all five once is $32.95, and version history gates custom categories and period comparisons to a cloud-based account. Reviewers say the à-la-carte charges stack up, and reviewers say ads interrupt data entry.
Pros
- 4.77 from 9,384 ratings, the second-largest base on this page
- Reviewers say it is simple and fast
- Charts by week, month or year, plus custom date ranges since March 2024
- No account needed unless you buy one
Cons
- iPhone only, with no iPad build and no Google Play listing
- Each extra job costs $5.99 and CSV export costs $2.99
- The listing never states what the free tier includes
- Its privacy label declares Location, Identifiers, Usage Data and Diagnostics used to track you
Pricing: TipTracker - track your income by Pace Apps Inc. is free to download, with five in-app purchases at $5.99, $10.99, $8.99, $2.99 and $3.99. The listing states no billing period for any of them and names no trial.
Best for: iPhone users who want plain income charts and will pay once for the one or two extras they actually need.

4. Just The Tips: Tip Tracker by Twin Oaks Technologies, LLC
Just The Tips: Tip Tracker Best Value
Just The Tips: Tip Tracker has been on the store since 2015 and rates 4.54 from 3,000 US ratings. It earns the value badge because its description enumerates the whole feature set with no tier label attached, and because Premium is listed at $1.99. Read that alongside the caveats: the store page carries a Contains Advertising annotation, and a June 2026 release note refers to Premium Reports, so at least some reporting is gated.
The feature list is strong for restaurant work: cash and credit tips, tip-outs by fixed percentage, by sales or manual, hourly pay and shift hours, shift notes, covers and sales, multiple workplaces, custom roles from server and bartender to hairdresser and casino dealer, and a reporting system rebuilt in October 2025. It requires an email signup and backs up to the cloud. Reviewers say seeing a real hourly wage is the payoff, and reviewers say crashes and login failures are the sore points.
Pros
- Three tip-out modes, including tip-out by sales
- 31 languages on the store page, second only to Server44 here
- Custom roles per job, covering non-restaurant tipped work
- Premium is listed at $1.99, the cheaper of its two Premium entries
Cons
- Email signup is required, so nothing runs account-free
- Reviewers say crashes and sign-in failures are common
- What Premium adds is not spelled out on the store page, and neither price states a billing period
- Its privacy label declares Identifiers (Device ID) used to track you
Pricing: Just The Tips: Tip Tracker by Twin Oaks Technologies, LLC is free with ads. Premium appears twice on the store page, at $1.99 and at $19.99, with no monthly or annual label on either. No trial is stated.
Best for: Servers and bartenders who want configurable reports and tip-out by sales without paying much up front.

5. Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker by Maervince Gonzales
Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker
Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker, from Maervince Gonzales and listed on Google Play as MaGon Apps, holds the highest score of the six competitors here at 4.87, from 794 US ratings. It logs cash and credit tips, tip in, total sales and tip outs, calculates your hourly pay, and added clock-in and clock-out entry in September 2025 and a configurable week start in July 2025. Text and photo memos, an app lock, CSV export, custom categories and offline use are all in the description.
Two things hold it back. The listing never separates free from PRO, so what you get without paying is not stated, and neither is what PRO unlocks. The subscription prices are also duplicated on the store page: PRO runs from $5.99 a week to $19.99 or $26.99 a year, with two different monthly prices listed. The review feed is thin, so nothing there rises to a theme, though some reviewers mention ads and upgrade prompts interrupting entry.
Pros
- 4.87 on the App Store, the highest score of the six competitors here
- Clock-in and clock-out entry rather than typing a duration
- Works with no internet connection, with optional cloud backup and sync
- Its privacy label declares no data used to track you
Cons
- The listing does not say what is free and what needs PRO
- Duplicate prices: monthly at $7.99 and $9.99, yearly at $19.99 and $26.99
- English only, and last updated December 2025, the oldest on this page apart from TipMe
- No tax estimate is stated anywhere in the listing
Pricing: Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker by Maervince Gonzales is free to download. Waiter Pal PRO is listed at $5.99 weekly, $7.99 or $9.99 monthly, $21.99 for six months, and $19.99 or $26.99 yearly. Google Play states a different range, $6.99 to $19.99 per item. No trial is stated.
Best for: Servers who want a polished offline logger with clock-in times and an app lock, and who will read the upgrade screen before subscribing.

6. TipSee Tip Tracker App by WebCoast Designs LLC
TipSee Tip Tracker App
TipSee Tip Tracker App is the oldest app here, on the store since 2013, and it is titled TipSee Elite: Free Tip Tracker on Google Play. Its pitch is unusual: the description says the advanced features unlock free with ads, and that paying $4.99 a month or $24.99 a year buys ad removal rather than features. Note that the same store page also sells Unlock Pro Features 30 Days for $1.99, which sits against that claim.
The feature list covers tip-outs, hourly wage, weekly income, notes, editable entries, day-off marking, a custom work-week start and multiple jobs. It rates 3.14 from 266 US ratings, the lowest here. Reviewers say the ads make it hard to use, and that is the dominant complaint in reviews dated 2023 or later. An older wave of data-loss reports clusters heavily in 2017, so date any complaint you read.
Pros
- Its listing says the advanced feature set is reachable for $0 with ads
- Its listing says it runs local to the phone, with automatic email backups
- Editable entries, day-off marking and a custom work-week start
- Removing ads for a month costs $0.99
Cons
- 3.14 from 266 ratings, the lowest score on this page
- Reviewers say ads interrupt everything, and it is their dominant recent complaint
- The listing promises no logins, but reviewers describe being asked to sign in
- Its privacy label declares Financial Info collected and linked to your identity
Pricing: TipSee Tip Tracker App by WebCoast Designs LLC is free with ads. Subscriptions are $4.99 a month or $24.99 a year, and the store also lists Remove Ads 1 Month at $0.99 and Unlock Pro Features 30 Days at $1.99. No trial is stated.
Best for: People who want every feature without paying and can tolerate a heavy ad load.

7. TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking by Michael Chu
TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking
TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking is the plainest app on this page. It tracks daily earnings, keeps credit card and cash tips apart, records deductions for other members of the crew, autosaves if the app or phone shuts down, exports by month and by year for tax records, and ships an in-app user guide. iCloud sync between your own iOS devices arrived in August 2019.
That date is also the catch. The app has not been updated since 20 August 2019, its privacy label reads “No Details Provided” because it predates the requirement, and there is no Google Play listing. It rates 4.49 from 170 ratings. Its review sample is small, so nothing in it counts as a theme, though some reviewers mention that free logging stops until you pay, without agreeing on when.
Pros
- Simple daily logging with a cash and credit split
- Deductions for other members of the crew are handled
- Exports by month and by year, aimed at tax records
- Autosaves if the app or the phone shuts down
Cons
- Last updated August 2019, the oldest build on this page
- Its App Store privacy label reads “No Details Provided”
- No hourly wage, hours worked, or multiple-jobs support is stated
- Unlocks are steep for the feature set: $9.99, $14.99 and $9.99
Pricing: TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking by Michael Chu is free to download. Three unlocks are listed: Unlimited Entries $9.99, Unlock All Features $14.99 and Ad Removal $9.99. What Unlock All Features adds is not spelled out on the store page, and no billing period is stated.
Best for: iPhone users who want a bare daily tip log and nothing else, and who accept a build from 2019.

Which one should you pick?
Pick Server44 if you want the after-tax estimate on top of the tip total, tip-outs from role templates, and a tracker that needs no account.
Pick ServerLife - Tip Tracker if you want the deepest feature set and the largest rating base, and you do not mind paying for Premium and signing in.
Pick TipTracker - track your income if you are on an iPhone, want clean income charts, and would rather buy one or two extras outright than subscribe.
Pick Just The Tips: Tip Tracker if you need tip-out by sales, custom roles per job, and configurable reports, with Premium listed at $1.99.
Pick Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker if you want clock-in and clock-out entry, photo memos and an app lock, and you work where the connection drops.
Pick TipSee Tip Tracker App if you refuse to pay anything and can put up with the ad load its reviewers describe.
Pick TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking if all you want is a plain daily log with a cash and credit split on an iPhone.
Whichever tracker you land on, the math is worth checking before payday. Our free tip-out calculator works out what you owe the bar and the busser from a night’s sales, and the paycheck calculator with tips estimates what actually reaches your account after wages, tips and withholding. Both run in the browser with no download.

TipSee Tip Tracker App says its advanced features are free if you accept ads, though the same store page also sells Unlock Pro Features 30 Days for $1.99. Server44 is free to download, with Pro adding unlimited jobs and 90- and 365-day insights.
Which tip tracker apps estimate the tax on your tips?
Only Server44 states one. Its listing describes estimated net income with federal and state tax calculations. The other six listings say nothing about tax estimates: ServerLife - Tip Tracker, TipTracker - track your income, Just The Tips: Tip Tracker, Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker, TipSee Tip Tracker App and TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking all leave that row as not stated, and TipMe describes exports for tax records rather than a calculation.
Several of these apps are called Tip Tracker. Which is which?
Six of the seven store names contain the words Tip Tracker, so use the full name. ServerLife - Tip Tracker is by MZBApps LLC. TipTracker - track your income, one word in the store, is by Pace Apps Inc. Just The Tips: Tip Tracker is by Twin Oaks Technologies, LLC. Do tip tracker apps make you create an account?
Some do. Just The Tips: Tip Tracker asks you to sign up with your email, and ServerLife - Tip Tracker backs your data up to the cloud automatically and has sign-in options. TipTracker - track your income sells an account as a $10.99 in-app purchase rather than requiring one. Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker works without an internet connection, and signing in to an account restores a PRO subscription. TipSee Tip Tracker App says it has no logins, though some reviewers describe a sign-in screen. Server44 states no account required and works offline.
Which of these tip tracker apps are on Android?
Five of the seven. ServerLife - Tip Tracker, Just The Tips: Tip Tracker, Waiter Pal: Tip Tracker, TipSee Tip Tracker App and Server44 all have Google Play listings, though Just The Tips and Waiter Pal show older update dates on Play than on the App Store. TipTracker - track your income and TipMe - Employee Tip Tracking have no Google Play listing. None of the seven has an Apple Watch app or a native Mac app.
